‘Delivering the charging infrastructure required remains the key barrier to cleaner European mobility’ – MHC Mobility

Jon Lawes, Managing Director at MHC Mobility, a leading pan-European leasing business providing fleet solutions across all asset types and industry sectors, comments on the European mobility sector ahead of tomorrow’s (21 March) ACEA vehicle registration data:

“The approval of the new Euro 7 emission standards last week is a vital part of the collaborative effort to decarbonise European transport, yet tensions throughout the process show that there remain competing visions of how to best achieve this goal.

“While the final standards are less ambitious than original proposals, stakeholders must remain focused on long-term transition targets. However, with the electric evolution in danger of stalling, delivering the charging infrastructure required to support the switch remains the key barrier to cleaner European mobility.”
