Jon Lawes

Managing Director, European Mobility Solutions

Jon has almost 30 years’ of experience in the fleet and leasing industry. Having occupied numerous roles throughout his career in vehicle leasing and mobility, he was appointed Managing Director of Novuna Vehicle Solutions (formerly Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions) in 2015. Under Jon’s leadership, the UK fleet has grown from circa 65,000 vehicles in 2016 to over 100,000 vehicles in 2022, underpinned by Novuna Vehicle Solutions’ unique ability to build, fund and manage any asset from cars and LCVs to plant equipment and machinery. This Total Asset Solutions proposition, introduced by Jon in 2017, also helps deliver sustainable fleet solutions with a focus on helping businesses reduce costs and improve efficiencies. Jon is passionate about sustainability and supporting customers to transition to a net zero fleet. He also supports MHC Mobility and Novuna’s mission of providing outstanding customer experiences. Under his leadership, the Novuna Vehicle Solutions team won the UK’s Fleet News award for UK Leasing Company of the Year for four consecutive years in a row, from 2019 to 2022 – a first in the industry. Jon’s leadership role extends beyond MHC Mobility and Novuna. He has been named in the Top 100 Industry Influencers for the past two years, having shaped the zero and low-carbon fleet industry. Jon also currently serves as Chair of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Nick Salkeld

MHC Mobility Chief Operating Officer

Nick Salkeld began his career in automotive finance and leasing in 1983, working with Ford Credit and, later, Nissan Finance. Nick became a Commercial Director for LeasePlan UK in 1998. Three years later, he was appointed the Managing Director of LeasePlan International before becoming Regional Senior Vice-President of LeasePlan Corporation. In 2014, Nick joined the Managing Board of LeasePlan Corporation as CCO, responsible for all 32 LeasePlan countries and 7,000 employees. Nick joined Hitachi Capital Corporation’s Vehicle Solutions Strategy Division (now Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc., Mobility Solutions Division), in 2018. Now as COO of MHC Mobility Europe, Nick is responsible for monitoring sales and operational performance across our European subsidiaries. He also leads on major projects and procurement opportunities.

Koen Jansen

MHC Mobility Chief Financial Officer

Koen started his career in 1989 for the audit firm Ernst & Young. In 1992, he became a Financial Controller for LeasePlan Corporation. In 2001, he was appointed Financial Manager M&A and five years later, he took on the role as Regional Financial Director, overseeing Europe, Russia, UAE, India, Australia, New Zealand and Turkey. Koen joined Hitachi Capital Corporations Vehicle Solutions Strategy Division (now Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc., Mobility Solutions Division) in 2018. As CFO of MHC Mobility Europe, he’s responsible for monitoring financial performance and risk management across the business and its European subsidiaries. He also develops financial synergies at a European level and supports with M&A opportunities.

Ryjan Rutgers

Country Manager, MHC Mobility, Germany

Ryjan Rutgers took his role as Country Manager of MHC Mobility Germany and Austria in March 2020. As a certified Lean Six Sigma expert, he was able to lead MHC Mobility Germany from a Small and Medium Business to a member of Mitsubishi HC Capital, one of the world's biggest leasing and financing companies. Further, he gained his extensive experience in B2B and B2C services, retail and importer activities by working as Managing Director and financial expert for international full service leasing companies. He describes himself as an energetic manager with a situational leadership style and extensive experience in B2B and B2C services, retail and importer activities. His approaches are pragmatic, solution-oriented and positive, using a balanced mix of management and leadership to focus on goals and success.

Gert Veenstra

Country Manager, MHC Mobility Netherlands

Gert Veenstra started his career at Noordlease in 1992, after working for five years at the accounting firm Ernst & Young (EY). In 1998, Gert joined the company's management, which was then a wholly-owned subsidiary of ING Bank. He also worked internationally for ING Lease in addition to his regular activities. Noordlease became part of BMW FS in 2010, and a few years later, Gert and his then co-director, Robert Nienhuis, acquired the company through a management buyout. In 2017, Noordlease became part of Hitachi Capital, and after several name changes, it is now MHC Mobility B.V. Gert has been the General Manager since 2017 and sees his role as that of a coach of a very successful team. Gert is proud of the people at MHC Mobility and has full confidence in the future of the company and its team. With MHC Mobility Netherlands, Gert focuses on four spearheads: social infrastructure, ecology and energy, mobility, and local governments/public sector.

Kristof De Backer

Managing Director, MHC Mobility Belgium

Kristof is a seasoned professional in the leasing industry, having led the launch of Private Lease in Belgium for Citroën and Peugeot, operating under the Stellanti brand. In 2016, he ventured out and established Mobilease, marking the first leasing and mobility company in Belgium in over a decade. Recently, Mobilease was incorporated into MHC Mobility in 2019, and Kristoff remains committed to fostering open communication and personal, flexible leadership.

Jan Tejnor

Country Manager, MHC Mobility Czech Republic

Jan Tejnor joined MHC Mobility in October 2021 as Country Manager in the Czech Republic. His career has been connected with finance and automotive since he graduated, having spent a decade at a full service leasing provider and another seven years at dealers and importers. As a salesman at heart, Jan's main focus is to create a strong client base for future growth and strong operations to ensure clients satisfaction. Jan applies experience and principles from performance sports into business; from hard work and consistency to cooperation and learning from mistakes.

Richard Heijnsbroek

Country Manager, MHC Mobility Austria

Richard has a proven track record as turnaround manager in B2B and B2C services, providing extensive experience in driving innovations, scaling operations and managing M&A in operating lease of vehicles, rental, mobility services and financial services. Richard is characterised by strong analytical skills, decisiveness, commercial drive, hands-on management and the ability to build a strong team.

Andras Lauscher

Country Manager, MHC Mobility Hungary

András Lauscher began his career in B2B telecommunication services in 2012, at Telekom Hungary as a key account manager. In 2005 he joined EuroFleet Full Service Leasing company, progressing from junior sales to Head of Sales within five years at EuroFleet. Throughout this time, Andras gained a great dela of experience and mastered his skills particularly in sales, leadership and management. After EuroFleet was acquired by MHC Mobility Group in 2021, he was appointed to become the Country Manager of Hungary being responsible for more than 3000 vehicles, 1000 Clients, and nearly 70 employees.

Lubomir Habala

Country Manager, MHC Mobility Slovakia

Lubomir began his career as the youngest diplomat in Tokyo in 1996. Serving as the Attaché of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic, he found his passion for the automotive industry and seized an opportunity at Suzuki Slovakia. There, he played a pivotal role in establishing the brand as a prominent car producer in Slovakia. Within a remarkable span of five years, Suzuki soared to an unprecedented second position in the passenger car market. Following seven years at Suzuki, Lubomir then moved into the position of Managing Director of Kia in Slovakia, where he propelled the company to an impressive top-three market position. After leaving Kia, he embarked on an exciting new venture in the realm of full-service lease, leveraging his extensive expertise to provide comprehensive solutions to clients. With his astute business acumen and unwavering dedication, he continues to shape the industry landscape, creating synergies and driving unprecedented success.

Masaki Mizutani

MHC Mobility Supervisory/Advisory Board Member

Masaki was appointed director in May 2023 and has over 35 years’ experience in the leasing industry following an extensive career with MHC in Japan. Prior to joining the company, Masaki held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer at asset finance company Vestone Capital, the joint venture in the Macquarie Group in Sydney. He was appointed Deputy CEO in February 2021 when Mitsubishi HC Capital became an equal shareholder, where he was responsible for supporting management team and developing relationships with Japanese companies in Australia. Masaki also spent 2 years in New York as President of Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance (USA), Inc. having commenced his career with Diamond Lease, an MUFG affiliate. Masaki holds an MBA from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Audit and Risk, Nomination and Remuneration committees.
